I noticed that the number of reports of abandoned waste didn't match the amount on our streets.
There is an opportunity for better reporting. By flying a Dji drone across the neighborhood, taking and processing thousands of photos with AI to detect illegal dumping. We use software automation to report every dumpsite to the city's illegal dumping and waste management department.
That's when I decided to try something. My background is in AI, Software and Robotics, coupled with an interest in Automation and Machine Vision. It felt like the perfect problem for me to solve.
